Droning on!

Posted by

In today’s world there exists the possibility that at any moment there are small flying objects overhead no matter where you live or what you do, you could very well end up on a drone some where.  Lately, given the amount of drone footage we could now acquire, I (much like Jeff Goldblum in the Original Jurassic Park film) have begun to ask if we should?  Since 2015 we have been working on building a comprehensive stock footage base of drone-captured Arial footage. And while we have been able to compile more than most, I wonder if the library would ever really be complete but  of course stock libraries of any type are indeed ongoing  and evolving. With 325 TB of storage currently and 100more TB to be added this year, it lends to the question of what’s next? Our focus and direction is currently pointing to the cinematic techniques of both singular and team-concept capture.  Will techniques be able to keep up with the technology? Currently there are 5K and even 6K capture devices on UAV’s. it is our hope that as we expand the understanding for this type of technology the instruction in the use and practical applications will bring forth a new and different way to utilize the hardware. making it a viable option for expansion. One thing remains clear. These types of devices are indeed here to stay.
